Do you want to help us recognize people or organizations that have made contributions to Nepali people and the country? Send your nominations for Kantipur Icon to honor people and institutions that have made significant contributions to Nepal and Nepali people.Established by Kantipur Foundation, a philanthropic initiative of Kantipur Media Group, Kantipur Icon recognizes people or organizations that are making a difference and contributing to our country. We will award four persons, groups or institutions under four categories: art and literature, business and economy, science and technology and socio-political sector.

Arts and Literature

Literature (fiction, poetry, non-fiction, essays, travelogue etc), music, film, journalism, artwork, language, culture, sculpture, handicraft, architecture, documentary, theatre.

Business and Economy

Industry, trade, banking, finance, agriculture, tourism, commerce, education, health, transport, fiscal and monetary policy.

Science and Technology

Science, information and communication technology, innovations, startups, research and discovery.

Socio-political sector

A person, group or institution that has contributed to the country and society in sectors such as sports, politics, development, humanitarian or social work.

Kantipur Icon shall have attained outstanding achievements of significance for well-being and prosperity of Nepal and Nepali people. The contribution by the awardee shall have potential and provide stimulation for further contributions to well-being of Nepal and Nepali people.After reviewing your nomination, an independent five-member jury comprising a panel of eminent and respected professionals along with two members from Kantipur Foundation will select the winner of Kantipur Icon.The award will be presented at a grand ceremony to mark the 25th anniversary of Kantipur Publications in February 2018. Each award consists of a gold medallion worth 5 lakh rupees.
