Born in Narayanpur village of Kailali district in south-western plains, Suresh Kara, an information technology expert, completed his Masters in Information Technology from Manipal University in India. After a brief stint as an inspector of Nepal Police, he returned to his first love: Information and Communication Technology.
He served in various capacities at Nepal’s commercial banks including Nepal SBI Bank, Bank of Kathmandu, Kumari Bank. A former president of Computer Association Nepal (CAN), he was part of the teams that initiated digital finance, e-banking and mobile banking in Nepal. An ICT expert at Nepal Bank, he has helped numerous start-ups grow in the country. Karna, who has consulted for government and other agencies, is an ethical hacker and an ORACLE certified professional in Nepal. He also served as a jury member of CAN ICT Award.
