Akhilesh Upadhyay is among the founding members Kantipur Media Group – Nepal’s largest and most influential media establishment (estd.1993). He has been Chief Editor of The Kathmandu Post since 2008.
He has also written for international publications, including The New York Times, New York Newsday, Outlook and Indian Express (both in India), and Independent (Bangladesh). Upadhyay was CNN correspondent for Nepal; he is regularly featured in national/regional/international newspapers/TV/radio as a commentator. A New York University graduate and a Fulbright scholar, he has held senior positions in the development sector.
